DIREVO Industrial Biotechnology GmbH (Direvo) announced today that effective May 1st Dr. Jorg Riesmeier was promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Riesmeier who joined on January 15, 2010 as Chief Operating Officer is succeeding Dr. Thomas von Rüden who advocated the change in leadership. DIREVO Industrial Biotechnology GmbH (“DIREVO”) announced today that it has raised € 6 million to finance the company into the year 2012. The current financing round was led by TVM Capital and NRW.BANK. DIREVO Industrial Biotechnology GmbH announced today that it has completed the move to new premises of its own at the BioCampus Cologne. This is another important step in building up the company to figure as a major player in industrial biotechnology. It was further announced that DIREVO is dedicating its core laboratory to its co-founder and shareholder, Nobel Prize laureate Prof. Dr. Manfred Eigen.
