Scientist Chemistry (m/f)

You will be responsible for operational and scientific tasks at the interface of biochemistry and chemistry as well as managing projects for our international partners. Operational tasks include synthetic chemistry for preparation of substrates, modification of proteins or peptides and analytics of biomolecules.
Your Profile
• You are a Biochemist or Chemist with biotechnology background
• You have experience in organic synthesis
• You are experienced in analytics of biomolecules with HPLC and LC-MS
• Further experience in protein chemistry and enzymology is advantageous

Major Tasks in Department:
• Organic synthesis and derivatisation of substrates
• Perform analytics of biological samples including proteins, peptides, sugars and metabolites.
• Enzyme purification
• Participation in assay development

Personal Tasks / responsibility
• Assure operational status for organic synthesis of substrates and modification of biomolecules
• Perform analytics of biological samples including proteins, peptides, sugars and metabolites.
• Development of HPLC and LC-MS methods and maintenance of equipment
• Protein purification
• Independent execution and evaluation of analytics and organic synthesis and reporting to department head and project managers
• Responsible for disposal of hazardous material – it is advantageous to have the certificate according to § 13 of the “Gefahrstoffverordnung”

• Multidisciplinary teams
• Close interaction with Screening, inside Biochemistry department and with project managers across the company
• Project oriented workflow
• Up to date equipment
